Article | The 10 Least Expensive Cars to Own

“When it’s time to buy a new car and desperation comes calling, all other priorities peel away, leaving price alone to govern the decision. But simply buying the cheapest car isn’t necessarily the cheapest route. Cars—even the affordable ones—are expensive to own and operate. So we went in search of the answer to an important question: What is the cheapest car to buy and own? Fuel is an obvious consideration, but insurance can’t be ignored, either.”

    Comparison | 2010 Yamaha FZ6R vs 2010 Kawasaki Ninja 650R

    2010 Yamaha FZ6R vs 2010 Kawasaki Ninja 650R
    Features

    www.autorivals.net

The shape of the sport bike world has shifted slightly. You could blame the economy, or it could be that Yamaha has finally come to its senses and realized that the sub-super sport demographic is dominated by Suzuki and Yamaha and decided to create the FZ6R. Sport bikes such as the new FZ6R and the Kawasaki Ninja 650R give riders the perfect compromise between speed and economy. With base prices thousands of dollars less than super sport bikes and fantastic fuel economy, the FZ6R and the 650R are a bargain. When you consider their everyday usability and comfortable ergonomics, they seem to even be the smarter choice compared to each companies' faster models. While they don't offer the same blindingly fast capabilities, they're hardly what you would call slow. With acceleration times that would embarrass some sports cars, these two bikes offer the speed and looks to satisfy nearly all riders.

    Comparison | 2011 Audi TT vs 2011 BMW Z4

    2011 Audi TT vs 2011 BMW Z4
    Sports Cars

    www.autorivals.net

The big news when talking about the 2011 Audi TT and 2011 BMW Z4 are not the exterior changes, but the changes under the hood. Audi is slow in updating the TT's exterior but it's hard to redesign a masterpiece. It would be like trying to redesign the Mona Lisa. (Okay, maybe not the Mona Lisa but perhaps a Monet.) The TT is one of the few obtainable cars that look gorgeous and elegant enough to belong in an art gallery rather than on the road. Its one downfall has always been it being underpowered compared to competitors but finally that's about to change. The TT receives the new 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four found in other recently updated Audis and is good for 11 more horsepower and 51 lb-ft of torque. While that's all well and good, the newsmaker is the new TT RS which might or might not make it here. We pray that it does though with its 340 hp and 332 lb-ft engine. Ladies and Gentleman, start writing those emails: Audi of America Contact.
